Day 1 – NJP to Jorethang to Okhrey
The first day of the trek is all about reaching the base camp. You have to arrange a car from NJP station towards Jorethang. You can get shared cabs from siliguri which is a nearby town of NJP. Take another car from jorethang to reach the base camp Okhrey. It will be a journey of 130 km in total which will take 7 to 8 hours to reach the base camp finally by evening you reach the beautiful Best Place to Visit in India.
Day 2 – Okhrey to HIlley to Barsey
Try to start early in the morning. Carry enough water as there is no water refill point on the way. Take a car towards Hilley which is the gateway of the Sanctuary. Start trekking from here towards Barsey. Barsey is often called as Varsey. You can experience the worm behavior of Local people as you meet them on the way. Reach Barsey by afternoon and stay overnight here.
Day 3 – Barsey to Hilley to NJP
This is the last day of this Famous Trek in Sikkim Hilley Barsey Rhododendron sanctuary trek. You have to return through the same way. The trail is mesmerizing with beautiful rhododendrons and various flowers. You have to trek through the descend way towards Hilley and arrange a car from here to reach Njp by evening.
